Publisher: NHS Providers, London : 2022.Description: 7p.Summary: This survey was sent out to a range of executive directors including chairs, chief executives, medical directors, nursing directors, directors of operations, HR directors and directors of strategy. All trust types and regions were represented in the survey. It found: almost all trust leaders (97 per cent) say that current workforce shortages are having a serious and detrimental impact on services; almost all (98 per cent) say that shortages will slow down progress in tackling the growing care backlog; and almost all (97 per cent) say the lack of certainty over workforce supply may impact the ability of the NHS to retain staff. There are also worries that the lack of certainty over workforce supply over the next five to ten years will significantly increase 'burnout' and affect staff morale as well as having a negative impact on patients..Subject(s): NHS trusts | staff shortage | survey results | workforce | staff morale | directors | staff views
