The 4-year plan contained more than 75 commitments aimed at improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people. It was created in response to the findings of the National LGBT Survey; which we conducted in 2017 and was the largest domestic survey of LGBT people ever undertaken. The government said it would enable Parliament to play a full role in helping to advance LGBT equality, as part of the Action Plan. In July 2018, the government published the LGBT Action Plan. The 4-year plan contained more than 75 commitments aimed at improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people.
